HC Deb 20 July 1933 vol 46 c157W
Mr. Janner

asked the Secretary of State for Social Services (1) whether he will remove the age bar to the mobility allowance so that it may be claimed by all who need it;

(2) whether he will remove the requirement for a pensioner claiming mobility allowance that he or she must have been in receipt of such an allowance before his or her 66th birthday or the allowance will not be available.

Mr. Newton

No. We have no present plans to remove the upper age limit for mobility allowance.
