asked the Secretary of State for Scotland what steps he is taking to implement the policies set out in "Growing Older".

These policies are reflected in the resources made available to health boards, local authorities and voluntary organisations providing services for the elderly. Further development of these policies will depend on the availability of resources, but the treatment of the elderly will continue to command our particular attention.
