HC Deb 20 July 1933 vol 46 c172W
44. Mr. Stanbrook

asked the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs if he will consider the purchase, on behalf of the Governments of British dependent territories without suitable premises of their own, of premises in London to serve as a meeting place for visitors from the dependent territories, a forum for conferences and an information centre to enable the British public to know more about those dependent territories overseas which are expected to remain permanently British.

Mr. Whitney

I shall bear my hon. Friend's suggestion in mind when, following the Adjournment debate on 5 July, consideration is given to related aspects of our future relations with dependent territories.
