Cabled reports from Buenos Aires published by the Anglo-South American Bank quote the following prices for chilling steers per kilo live weight: 24 cents on 2nd and 9th November, 25 cents from 16th November to 28th December, 22 cents on 11th January, 25 cents on 25th January and 22 cents on 7th February. I would point out that the prices of Argentine meat on Smithfield market have fluctuated considerably over this period.
