§ Mr. CRAVEN-ELLISasked the Minister of Agriculture how many prosecutions have taken place under the Artificial Cream Act, 1929; in how many of these cases has the prosecution resulted in conviction before the magistrates; and how many of such decisions have been reversed on appeal?
Sir H. YOUNGI have been asked to reply. According to my information, which is not necessarily complete, there have been seven prosecutions in England and Wales under this Act. One was dismissed under the Probation of Offenders Act. In the other six, the defendants were convicted, but in two instances the decision was reversed on appeal.
