HC Deb 06 December 1933 vol 283 cc1652-3W
Sir A. WILSON

asked the Attorney-General whether and, if so, when it is intended to introduce legislation to give effect to the recommendation of the Report of the Crown Proceedings Committee of 1927 [Cmd. 2842]?

The ATTORNEY-GENERAL

It is not desirable to introduce legislation of this nature unless it is reasonably clear that it will receive general assent in both Houses of Parliament; and such information as the Government have been able to obtain leads them to think that no such general assent exists.
