asked the President of the Board of Trade if the Government are aware that there is State-aided dumping of Russian glue into this country which is having serious effect upon employment in the industry; and what action, if any, the Government propose to take?

asked the President of the Board of Trade if he is aware that Russian butter was being imported into this country last month at an increased price of 56s. the cwt., under a system involving various form of State aid; and what action he proposes to take in the matter?

Mr. RUNCIMAN

I am not in a position to make any statement at the present time as to the action which may be taken after 17th April in regard to imports from the Soviet Union.
