§ Mr. TURTONasked the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs whether he can make a statement as to the relations existing between His Majesty's Government and the present Government of Egypt; and whether the latter Government is one with which these relations may be developed in the direction of a settlement of outstanding questions?
§ Mr. EDENI am happy to say that our relations with the Egyptian Government are entirely friendly. We make no reservation in regarding the present Egyptian administration as one with which Anglo-Egyptian relations both have been, and may continue to be, developed at the time and in the manner which appear most suitable for the purpose.
