SOMERVILLEasked the Minister of Health the total value of loans sanctioned and raised by local authorities in England and Wales, exclusive of housing purposes and loans for providing temporarily for current expenses, since November, 1931, with the detailed amount per month; and how this compares with the figures for such loans in the previous corresponding period?
Sir H. YOUNGI regret that without an undue amount of labour I cannot give exactly the figures for which my hon. Friend asks. I hope, however, that the following will serve his purpose:
