asked the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs what treaties, agreements, and conventions of the League of Nations or the International Labour Office have been signed or ratified since the present Government took office in respect of which similar action is contemplated at the present time?

The following treaties, agreements and conventions concluded under the auspices of the League of Nations have been signed since the present Government took office, but have not yet been ratified:

  1. 1. Agreement. Suppression of Opium Smoking. Bangkok, 27th November, 1931.
  2. 2. Protocol. Financial Assistance to Austria. Geneva, 15th July, 1932.

It is the intention of His Majesty's Government to ratify both of these.

The following treaties, etc., signed before the present Government took office, have since been ratified:

  1. 1. Protocol. Military obligations in certain cases of Double Nationality. The Hague, 12th April, 1930 Ratification deposited 14th January, 1932.
  2. 2. Protocol. A certain case of Statelessness. The Hague, 12th April, 1930 Ratification deposited 14th January, 1932.
  3. 3. Special Protocol, Statelessness. The Hague, 12th April, 1930. Ratification deposited 14th January, 1932.
  4. 4. Convention. Stamp Laws in connection with Cheques. Geneva, 19th March, 1931. Ratification deposited 13th January, 1932.
  5. 5. Convention, Taxation of Foreign Motor Vehicles. Geneva, 30th March, 1931. Ratification deposited 20th April, 1932.

It is the intention of His Majesty's Government also to ratify the following treaties, etc.:

  1. 1. Convention, Regulation of Whaling. Geneva, 24th September, 1931.
  2. 2. Convention. Limitation of manufacture of Narcotic Drugs. Geneva, 13th July, 1931.
  3. 3. Convention. Stamp Laws in connection with Bills of Exchange and Promissory Notes. Geneva, 7th June, 1930.
  4. 4. Convention. Conflict of Nationality Laws. The Hague, 12th April, 1930.
  5. 5. Convention, Counterfeiting Currency. Geneva, 20th April, 1929.

The present Government since taking office have not become party to any treaties, etc., concluded under the auspices of the International Labour Office.
