§ Sir J. GILMOURApart from a sum of £15 for the hire of horses for mounted special constables, the only extra expenditure involved was for travelling expenses and, in some cases, for refreshment allowances. I should add that the total of 1,000 includes the police on duty not only at the County Hall but also in the surrounding districts.
