§ Sir J. GILMOURNo precise statistics are available of the numbers of farm workers unemployed, but I am aware that there has been a considerable amount of unemployment in Norfolk during the past winter. As regards the last part of the question I am hopeful that the steps already taken by the Government for assisting the agricultural industry will result in an increase in the amount of employment available,, particularly in the arable areas of the Eastern Counties.
