Lord STANLEYInvitations have recently been issued for tenders for certain new construction work, but it is not possible at this stage to say whether any of the contracts will be allotted to the Tyne area. The hon. Member may rest assured that the claims of this district will receive full consideration together with those of the other shipbuilding areas.
