asked the Undersecretary of State for Air whether he is aware of an accident that occurred on 8th June, near Andover, in which one pilot was killed; and whether he will state the type of parachute used and when it was last repacked?

Yes, Sir; the parachute in question was an Irvin, pilot, seat type, and was last repacked on 8th May of this year.
