§ Mr. SMITHERSasked the Secretary to the Overseas Trade Department whether he has any information concerning the results of the 1931 harvest in Soviet Russia and the prospects for the 1932 harvest?
§ Mr. COLVILLEAccording to the best of my information, the 1931 grain harvest in Soviet Russia yielded approximately 80,000,000 metric tons. The Soviet official estimate of the prospective yield in 1932 is put at 500,000,000 poods, say 8,000,000 metric tons in excess of 1931.
