§ Sir R. HAMILTONThe number of distilleries holding licences in 1931 was 22. The total produced from raw material on first distillation was 396,620 litres. Special licences free of licence duty are granted to religious institutions to manufacture wine far the sole consumption of the members of such institutions, but I have no record of the quantity thus produced.
