Mr. HUTCHISONasked the President of the Board of Trade whether he proposes to take any legislative action on the interim report of the Gas Legislation Committee, especially in view of the recommendations that the industry should be freed from some of the restrictions which now impede its operations?
§ Mr. RUNCIMANI am unable to make any statement as to possible legislative action pending the report of the joint committee to be appointed to consider this interim report and the extent to which gas undertakers should be authorised to invest funds in other undertakings.
