HC Deb 14 April 1932 vol 264 cc1008-9W
Mr. PERKINS

asked the Financial Secretary to the Treasury whether he is aware that the Stroud district development committee have been requested by His Majesty's Stationery Office to pay a royalty in respect of a map in a booklet issued by them with the object of attracting foreign factories to this area; and whether he will consider the advisability of exempting all development committees from this tax?

Major ELLIOT

The answer to the first part of the question is in the affirmative. I regret that I am unable to adopt the suggestion that the very moderate charge in question should be waived.
