§ Sir S. HOAREI have no information regarding the number of prosecutions instituted under the Child Marriage Restraint Act. The Government have placed no legislation before the Indian Legislative Assembly with the object of limiting the scope of the Act, but a number of such Bills have been introduced by private Members.
