§ Sir S. HOAREThe number of pensioners now on the books of the India Office and the Office of the High Commissioner for India, excluding those known to be natives of India or to be resident outside Great Britain and Northern Ireland, is as follows:
Under 50 years of age 1,882 Between 50 and 60 2,567 Between 60 and 70 2,605 These figures include widows and children in receipt of pensions from 23W Government funds, but exclude those drawing pensions under contributary schemes. There is, in addition, a charge against Indian Revenues in respect of the share due to service in India of pensions paid to personnel of the British Army and the Royal Air Force.
