asked the Chancellor of the Exchequer whether it is proposed to bring the Empire Marketing Board under Treasury control?

Mr. P. SNOWDEN

As stated in the White Paper on the measures proposed to secure reductions in national expenditure the grant to the Empire Marketing Fund, for 1932 will be reduced by £250,000. The arrangements as regards Treasury control over the expenditure will con- tinue to be as explained in the reply given to the hon. Member on the 12th February, 1930.
