HC Deb 30 September 1931 vol 257 c368W
Mr. NAYLOR

asked the Home Secretary in which divisions of the Metropolitan Police official inquiries have already been made into recent cases of alleged irregularities; and whether it is intended to pursue the inquiries throughout all the metropolitan divisions?

Sir H. SAMUEL

I would refer the hon. Member to the reply I gave on the 24th instant to a question by the hon. Member for Loughborough (Mr. Winter-ton). If any further cases come to light in which evidence of corrupt practices is available, disciplinary action will be taken. It is neither practicable nor desirable that information should be given with regard to cases that have not yet reached that stage.
