Mr. SIMONThe number of local authorities is 126. These local authorities have commenced to build over 27,000 houses since 1st January, 1931, but the information available does not enable me to say how many of these houses are included in the authorisations given since that date. The numbers of local authorities referred to in the last part of the question are 14 and none respectively.
