asked the Minister of Labour the number of persons in receipt of unemployment benefit in each of the Employment Exchanges in the county of Lanark at the end of July, 1931, and the number in receipt of unemployment benefit at the end of October, 1931?

Statistics showing the number of persons on the registers at a given date who are actually in receipt of benefit are not available, but the following table shows the numbers with claims to benefit admitted or under consideration at the end of July, and the end of October, 1931.
