Sir B. EYRES MONSELLTwenty-four writing assistants have been appointed to the Admiralty service since 1st April, 1931. Further appointments of writing assistants will probably be made before 31st March, 1933, but it is not possible at present to state the number. The retirements of established male officers of all grades from the Admiralty service between the present date and the end of the current financial year are expected to number 47.
