HC Deb 21 May 1931 vol 252 c2219W
Mr. DAY

asked the Postmaster-General if the recommendations of the committee that was appointed in his predecessor's time to examine the question of whether additional means of providing protection of mails in transit have been adopted; the cost necessary for it; and has the adoption of these recommendations involved any delay to the mails?

Mr. VIANT

The recommendations made by the committee with the object of affording additional protection to mails in transit have been adopted at a cost of about £6,700 a year. There has been no delay to the mails as a result of the adoption of those recommendations.
