§ Mr. HERBERT MORRISONI understand that the contracts placed by the board to the end of April, 1931, amounted to approximately £19,500,000. This figure does not include expenditure on standardisation of frequency in connection with which the board have specifically approved expenditure estimated to amount to £5,250,000.
