HC Deb 04 May 1931 vol 252 c41W
Sir A. SINCLAIR

asked the Secretary of State for Scotland what action the Government proposes to take on the Report of the Inter-Departmental Committee on Piers and Harbours on the north-east, north, and west coasts of Scotland?

Mr. ADAMSON

I think that legislation will be required before the question of piers can be comprehensively dealt with, but in the meantime I am exploring the possibility of dealing with more urgent cases so far as financial and legal difficulties will permit.
