HC Deb 12 March 1931 vol 249 c1411W
Sir G. BOWYER

asked the Minister of Agriculture whether his attention has been called to the recent increase in the importation of condensed skimmed milk; and what steps he is taking in this matter to help British farmers?

Dr. ADDISON

The quantity of condensed skimmed milk recorded as imported into the United Kingdom during 1930, was less than in 1929, and was also lower during the last six months of 1930 than in the corresponding period of 1929. In my opinion, the organisation of home producers is a necessary condition precedent to other action.
