asked the Minister of Labour how many persons have been transferred from the depressed mining areas of Breconshire for each year; the places they have come from; and to what areas they have been drafted?

Statistics giving the numbers transferred from particular areas are not available.

Captain P. MACDONALD

asked the Minister of Labour how many men have been transferred to the Isle of Wight from the distressed areas during the past 12 months; whether work has been found for them; and, if so, of what kind?

Miss BONDFIELD

The number of men transferred to the Isle of Wight during the 12 months ended 23rd February, 1931, was 132. Transfers are only made where employment is in view for the men concerned, but details of the employment found are not available.
