asked the Under-Secretary of State for the Colonies what moneys the several colonies have received from the Colonial Development Fund, and what is the present condition of the fund?

Following is a statement of the moneys issued to date from the Colonial Development Fund to the several Colonies, etc.

Issues to the Colonies, etc., are normally made quarterly to meet estimated expenditure chargeable to the Fund during the preceding quarter. Issues for the quarter ending 31st March next will be made when the estimates of amounts required have been received from the Colonies, etc. The fund is financed from moneys voted by Parliament. The amount voted for the current financial year is £750,000 (Class 11, Vote 10); and a further Vote will be asked for in the coming financial year to meet the issues from the fund in that year.
