§ Mr. SHORTYes, Sir. There are a number of cases in which a chief constable acts, or has acted, in that capacity for two or more police jurisdictions, and an arrangement very similar to that applying to the Hereford forces, i.e., for a chief constable of a city force to act also as chief constable of a county force, was made and approved quite recently.
