§ Mr. WATSONasked the Secretary of State for War whether he is aware that owing to the system of paying Territorials in camp the wives of some of the men are becoming chargeable to the public assistance committees during the training period; and whether he will consider taking such steps as will make it unnecessary for public assistance to be sought?
§ Mr. SHAWIf, as I presume, my hon. Friend is referring to the fact that Terri-2492W torials in camp who are under 26 years of age do not receive marriage allowance, I regret that I am unable to make any change in the existing regulations, which apply equally to the Regular Army.
