§ Mr. GREENWOODI understand that the total number of applications now before the town council is 1,322. It will be appreciated that a proportion of those applications would not be found satis- 1697W factory on examination. 187 houses are under construction by the town council and will be allocated on completion either for the purposes of the Housing (Financial Provisions) Act, 1924, or of the Housing Act, 1930, as may be found necessary.
