§ Dr. ADDISONUnder the existing law, a person who has paid tithe rentcharge to a tithe owner under a mistake of fact, including cases where a landowner has paid tithe rentcharge on demand under a mistaken impression that he was owner of the land charged, is entitled to recover from the tithe owner the amount paid by mistake.
