§ Major LLEWELLINasked the Chancellor of the Exchequer whether he is aware that the Association of Ex-Service Civil Servants is not affiliated to the staff side of the National Whitley Council, and that in conversations preliminary to arbitration between the Treasury and the Temporary Staff Confederation with regard to conditions at Kew representatives of the Civil Service Clerks' Association were received as a separate deputation; and whether he will therefore reconsider his decision as to receiving a deputation from the Association of Ex-Service Civil Servants with a view to their discussing with him any cuts in the cost-of-living bonus?
§ Mr. P. SNOWDENI am aware that the Association of Ex-Service Civil Servants is not affiliated to the staff side of the National Whitley Council, and that deputations from this association have been received in appropriate cases. But I see no reason on these grounds for revising the decision referred to in the last part of the hon. and gallant Member's question.
