HC Deb 28 January 1931 vol 247 c996W
Sir N. GRATTAN-DOYLE

asked the Minister of Transport whether in view of the exclusion of motor-coaches from certain London streets, he proposes still to allow single-decker omnibuses to use these streets?

Mr. HERBERT MORRISON

The proposed draft regulations will not affect stage carriages plying for hire by short stages as defined in the Road Traffic Act, 1930, that is, they will not affect ordinary omnibus services. If, therefore, single-deck omnibuses are used on such services, they will not fall within the scope of the regulations.
