§ Mr. LAWSONSo far as I am aware, no decision by the German Government on this subject has been announced. My hon. Friend may be alluding to the speech made by Dr. Dietrich, the German Minister of Finance, at Stuttgart, on 6th January. I understand that Dr. Dietrich said on 17th January, before the Budget Committee of the Reichstag, that his proposals were not stated in the specific form given to them in the Press, and that Dr. Stegerwald, the German Minister of Labour, was studying the question.
