HC Deb 26 February 1931 vol 248 cc2299-300W
Sir H. CAYZER

asked the Parliamentary Secretary to the Admiralty for what purpose the quarters previously occupied at Eastney by the Royal Naval School of Music are now being used and, if not being used, whether it is the present intention that they shall remain unoccupied?

Mr. AMMON

The quarters previously occupied at Eastney by the Royal Naval School of Music are being converted into accommodation for Royal Marine sergeants and men, and 190 beds are already occupied in one of these blocks. The conversion of the remaining block into cubicles and barrack-rooms is nearing completion, and it is anticipated that these quarters will be available for occupation at an early date.
