HC Deb 24 February 1931 vol 248 cc1963-4W
Mr. WOMERSLEY

asked the Secretary of State for Dominion Affairs what steps are in contemplation to carry into effect the decision of the recent Imperial Conference that the functions of the Empire Marketing Board should be extended to include publicity for United Kingdom products in the overseas parts of the Empire; and what sum of money it is proposed to allocate for this purpose?

Mr. THOMAS

The effect of the resolutions of the Imperial Conference on this subject is being carefully considered, but I am not yet in a position to make a statement. In the meantime, it is proposed to make the necessary alterations in the vote for Empire Marketing for 1931–32.
