§ Mr. WESTasked the Minister of Health whether his attention has been drawn to the action of the London County Council recently purchasing foreign tiles on the ground of cheapness; and whether he will take action to bring to the notice of the London County Council the advisability of buying British goods?
§ Mr. GREENWOODThe reply to the first part of the question is in the negative. I have issued a circular on this subject to local authorities, and I understand that the London County Council do in fact give preference, so far as practicable, to British goods.
