HC Deb 17 February 1931 vol 248 c1094W
Mr. MACPHERSON

asked the First Lord of the Admiralty when the Nigg Pier was sold; what price was paid for it; what arrangements were made for its upkeep; and what conditions, if any, were attached to the sale?

Mr. AMMON

Nigg Pier was not sold, but the Admiralty transferred their interests and obligations by disposition, dated 30th December, 1926, which whilst placing on the disponee the obligation to keep in repair so long as it was in existence, gave him the right to demolish it whenever he saw fit.
