HC Deb 11 February 1931 vol 248 c426W
Mr. NAYLOR

asked the First Commissioner of Works whether he is able to make arrangements for taking over the men now employed by the building contractors at the British Museum when the work is undertaken by his Department in April next?

Mr. LANSBURY

The transfer of labour from the contractors to direct employment, which is proposed in April, in connection with the building maintenance work at public buildings in London, will include those men who are at present employed on work for this Department at the British Museum.
