§ Mr. SHINWELLAt the end of June, 1930, there were 1,208 mines under the Coal Mines Act at which no horses and ponies were employed below-ground. Of this number 520 mines employed 20 or more persons below-ground. The number and approximate proportion of such mines in each inspection division were as follow:
