asked the Minister of Labour (1) the number of persons between the ages of 18 and 40 years who are in receipt of unemployment benefit at the present time, and how many are women;

(2) the number of persons between the ages of 55 and 65 years who are in receipt of unemployment benefit at the present time, and how many are women?

The latest date for which figures are available is 24th November, 1930. It is estimated that at that date the figures in question for Great Britain were approximately as follow:
