So far as the information is available, it is given in the following table. In the years before 1926 I am not able to give the number of persons killed or injured, but only the number of accidents resulting in death or injury.

Accidents resulting in death or personal injury known by the police to have been caused by vehicles in streets, roads or public places in England (excluding Wales).
