HC Deb 02 February 1931 vol 247 c1461W
Lieut.-Colonel HENEAGE

asked the Minister of Agriculture if he has considered the resolution of the Urban District Council of Brigg pointing out that whatever State assistance the industry receives it is fully returned to the people in multiplied amounts by way of reducing the price of sugar and owing to the amount of employment provided; and if he will give further consideration to the question of the subsidy?

Dr. ADDISON

I have received the resolution referred to by the hon. and gallant Member. As regards the last part of the question, I would refer him to the reply given to-day by the Prime Minister to a question put by the right hon. Gentleman the Member for Bewdley (Mr. S. Baldwin).
