asked the the Under-Secretary of State for Air what is the approximate cost to the State on account of subsidy for each ton-mile operated by Imperial Airways, Limited, for the financial year 1930–31 in respect of the England-Egypt air service; and what are the terminals of the route covered by this subsidy?

The cost of subsidy per ton-mile for the year in question in respect of the England-Egypt air service was 15s. 3d. The terminals of this route are London (Croydon) and Alexandria.
