HC Deb 10 December 1931 vol 260 c2073W
Mr. MACQUISTEN

asked the Minister of Transport whether, in view of the irregularities in the case of Messrs. Maconochie's application for a licence for their omnibuses running on the Machrihanish route, whereby they were refused the opportunity of leading evidence in rebuttal of the objections tabled against them, both in the tribunal below and on appeal, he will now order a rehearing and allow Messrs, Maconochie to state their case?

Mr. PYBUS

I cannot accept the suggestion made in the first part of the question. But if Messrs. Maconochie wish to submit a fresh application to the traffic commissioners, I will ask the commissioners to give it the earliest possible hearing.
