HC Deb 15 April 1931 vol 251 c187W
Sir N. GRATTAN-DOYLE

asked the Minister of Transport whether, in prescribing loop-ways and alternative routes for traffic in the London area during the summer season, he will cause special regard to be had to proper access being provided for visitors to hotels, restaurants, and shopping areas as well as to places of historical and artistic interest?

Mr. HERBERT MORRISON

In drawing up the scheme of street works in the London Traffic Area for the six months ending 30th September next, in pursuance of Section 4 of the London Traffic Act, 1924, due regard was paid to the necessity of allowing access to buildings and places of the character referred to in the hon. Member's question.
